The Forces of the Imperium
This faction, obviously, represents the Imperium's might being brought to bear against the Chaos invaders.

The Darkstar Armada
These are the forces of Chaos which have seemingly come to take Xorn IV for their own. Since this system is far removed from any Chaos stronghold, it is thought that they have a specific purpose here.

The Tidebriner Enclave
The presence of the Tau and their Ork Mercenaries is a mystery to the other factions.

The Dawnbringer Flotilla
A small fleet of Eldar pirate ships has been detected in the area. They are offering assistance to any faction which wishes to pay for it.
- Dark Eldar
Every player may choose two armies to use during the campaign. An "army" is represented by one of the bullets above. They may either be from the same or different factions. Each army choice must have a faction declared if necessary.
Each faction will have a player declared as that faction's warlord. That player will have final say in all decisions regarding that faction, though they are encouraged to listen to the counsel of their friends. The Warlords shall be chosen by the GM.
